many of you have been asking "what happened to the tree?"

the courtyard now!
jason arrived at 11am on wednesday to find the tree already down to a stump. this mature, gorgeous, glorious tree didn't even get a second chance at life. they didn't even bother trying to find a new home for him. they just cut him down to a stump! i know you have all started to realize i am a tree hugger! what can i say...i get it from my parents!
later that day, let's just say that i had a very direct conversation with the venue about my disappointment in their service, communication & that with the cost we should be getting much more from them. did i mention, this is not the first issue we have had? this one is just the one that sent me over the edge! their response "we will have other trees in pots (side note: trees in pots won't support multiple crystal chandeliers! she didn't seem to get that)...it's JUST your cocktail hour...i will give you a few days to calm down...we aren't sure the exact final plans for the courtyard yet!" uh, i am suppose to feel comfortable & confident with these types of responses?
so, yesterday, we had a vendor walk through at the site. you would think after the heated conversation i had with them...that they would have mentioned that the entire inside of the venue was also totally under construction!! Especially because they knew we were coming. plastic, metal, ladders, dust & protective paper covered almost the entire inside of the beautiful historic building.

the inside of vibiana! seriously!
the best part...my mom asked "all of this will be done by the wedding, right?" their response, "if not, it will all be concealed!" EXCUSE me!! What does that mean??
but, we are moving on! i am not going to waste anymore blog space on them!
our other vendors are totally and completely fantastic & i know they will make sure everything is exactly how we want it. we got to see a floral demo yesterday, with the linen & tabletop goodies! stunning, it is floral perfection. it has the perfect balance of vintage, clean, simplicity...touches of lace, tone on tone florals & crisp accents of blue.
my mind was spinning from all the questions from all the vendors. luckily, jason was on hand too! plus, my mom & dad were there for moral support! our little ducks are getting all lined up!
Can you say 44 days?!?
