FRIDAY
to kick off the weekend we got a night of fright at Queen Mary's Shipwreck. jer, anna, jason & i enjoyed a great dinner before heading to LB. we couldn't bring a camera in so you only get one shot of the outside of the ship...
all of us gave a little scream at one point or another. i probably gave the most BUT whatever. it was super creepy on the ship because the Queen Mary has so many REAL stories of hauntings. Jer is doing research for a new TV show his company is working on about haunted america and the Queen Mary is close to the top of that list!
we finished the night with a round of dessert & some terrible Dew (totally disappointing because i was feeling a good mountain dew...my drug of choice).
SATURDAY
yay for an amazing night with friends. jason & i hosted a spooky supper at our house. the creepy menu came out pretty well - Frankenstein Flesh Salad, Smashed Guts, Roasted Vampire Teeth & Barbqued Goblin Meat (REALLY - the wedge salad, mashed potatos, bbq corn on the cob & tri-tip). Of course we had plenty of sweets & drinks on hand. BUT, the best part was the company. thank you all for joining us & helping us kick off the holiday season.
Just a little side note about the table...there was super cool red uplighting on the house that you can see in some of the pics that make the table look super spooky BUT the camera didn't want to capture it without a blur...so just imagine it! REALLY cool.
SUNDAY
our weekend of activities ended at my parents house with an amazing brunch celebrating my grandma's 77th birthday (my dad's mom)!! we ate, watched a movie, got in a game of washers & played with all FOUR pups (Sofie - parents pup, Keico - jer & anna's pup AND Abigail/Sebastian - mine & j's pups).
Happy Birthday Grandma!! Thank you for being such an amazingly special person in my life. She is so gorgeous! I love you oh so much! Wishing you many, many, many more years of FANTASTIC life!

Wow Megs, sounds like you had a crazy weekend. We had such a great time on Saturday. Thank you so much! Reese LOVED your roommate and the kitty. The next morning she was getting dressed and she said she had to go find the kitty. Can't wait for our next get together.

I am sooooo afraid of ghosts so I really don't know if I could have gone on that ship! BUT, if I wasn't such a scaredy, man I can't think of anything better to do for Halloween. Other than go to one of your parties! Your Dew comment made me laugh because for years, in college, it's all I drank. UGH! Makes me sick to think about, but I still crave a good one now and then so I totally get it! Totally know what you mean by a good one! Ha ha!
So much to do in California! Hopefully I will be there very soon.
