Meet the Parents

the time, saturday morning, 10am. the location san luis obispo, big sky cafe. the event, time for jason & my parents to meet. the weather was surprisingly warm for slo. actually...hot!

san luis is a special place for my family...my grandma and grandpa (mom's parents) retired here. many, many happy memories, for me, were spent with my grandparents in slo. my grandpa headed back up to palo alto after my grandma passed away. but, slo still holds a special, special place in my heart and a possible retirement location for my parents.

jason's family is local to the area...just a hop, skip and a jump up the hill to his parents house. jason lived in slo for awhile after HS. patti & craig (jason's mom & dad) both went to school at cal poly slo (the real cal poly...as the locals call it).

so to me...this is the perfect spot for the introduction. jason and i jetted up there on friday night after work.

the brunch was tasty...if you are in the area, i strongly recommend stopping by for a bite. the conversation was easy. the dads quickly started chatting about music. the moms were chatting about geographic commonalities. jason and i just sat back and enjoyed.

(left) my honey, his mom (patti...no that's not a typo, they have the same name), his dad (craig)

the parents

if you have never been to slo...go visit! try to squeeze in a thursday night because they have an amazing farmers market and make sure you check out gum alley! add a piece if you would like.

Not that I don't want you to read about my kids, I know it's just kind of boring, lets be honest. Ha ha!
Dee Loves Bonbons is totally boring too, but I'm working on it!

Gosh Deann get your own friends!!! JUST KIDDING! I can share :)

So Meg, it looks like the picture perfect luncheon you all had. I can't believe I've lived here my whole life and have never (at least I don't recall) been to Slo. Well maybe soon. Is it on the way to San Francisco? If it is, maybe Justin and I can stop there.

Love the blog and keeping up with everything since it is hard to talk everyday!
I had so much fun yesterday. Shopping was a blast and lunch was so yummy!!! Thanks again Megan and Patti!
