Laugh & Love

i know i owe you way more than this. but, i am in love with the new app that jason bought for our iPhones. i honestly think they made it for ME. we had a fun date night on saturday, pizza & the phantom of the opera (on broadway)! doesn't get much better than that! we were being silly on the train but i just LOVE this strip of photo goodness! how cool is the app?!

Mom + Dad + the Lakers = FUN

last weekend my parents came back for a quick visit. but, boy oh boy we packed it in. we had such a fantastic time! the original reason for the trip. simple. to watch the Lakers beat the Knicks! enjoy our whirl wind weekend. miss you already mom & dad!

the best part of the game...when the crowd started chanting "Let's Go Lakers!"

next morning we were up and at 'em heading to the Statue of Liberty & Elise Island. it was a gorgeous day. chilly. but not much wind & clear. the sun was scrumptious & the company was delightful.

this guy is always texting. hahaha

inside family joke. my dad always threatens to throw our phones because he can't stand ALL the texting!

this is the face that i get to wake up to every morning & kiss every night. i love this face. everything about this face. i'm sure you have noticed the baby blues. he gets away with murder because of those eyes. i mean MURDER. and i think he knows deep down it's my kryptonite. i will glance over & see my handsome hub & my stomach will start turning and churning with butterflies. yep...i still get them, a lot.

there is just one problem...i am missing my sweet hubs so much this week. he is gone for work. and i am solo.  this is the LONGEST we have been apart since we started living together.

the best part about j is i can always be ME.

i can be silly with him.

i can be crusty (with no make-up) with him.

i can laugh out loud with him.

i can play dress up with him.

and i can be playful with him.

two more nights. two more nights!

The Finn's Taking Over NYC!

i know. you can say it. i am the worst blog owner. i haven't visited or called in two weeks! so can we chat for a second, not like you have a choice, but, i have to admit...i've been in a funk. i think the winter weather is starting to scratch away at the surface of my skin. i crave the warmth of pure sunlight hitting my face. the city is dark, cold, sometimes rainy, almost always windy and i am ready to put on a dress & sandals. which i hear won't be until MAY. what?! sigh. thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

let's get down to business and rewind back to december, the day after christmas (yes, i realize it is the end of january) when my family arrived! talk about a christmas gift! work ended up being hectic the week they were here so we didn't get to spend as much time with them as i would have liked. they conquered the city like trained professionals. we were able to see two broadway shows while they were here which was amazing!

my dad had me make reservations at this fantastic restaurant.
