Wedding Planning Blues

can i vent internet? i hope so because i need to! today i have the wedding planning blues. today i am in a bad mood. today i am so frustrated, mad & irritated i could scream...oh wait i did scream. today brought some bad news about our venue. vibiana has a gorgeous courtyard where our cocktail hour is taking place. the center piece of the courtyard is this amazing tree. i mean this tree speaks to you. this tree was going to be the focal point of the cocktail hour. this tree was going to provide the support for our main decor item on the courtyard. well...not anymore. they are tearing the tree out TOMORROW!

the best part, the venue cordinator didn't even bother to tell us. we found out from jason's boss (classic is the preferred rental vendor for vibiana). she didn't bother to email me or call me to let me know that the one thing that i specifically asked permission to do was NO LONGER possible.

now, internet, i know that in the big picture this is not a big deal. jason & i are still getting married...which is the big deal. but...internet...this tree was one of the main factors for us booking this venue...we probably wouldn't have booked this venue if we knew the tree was coming out. uh...today, i have the wedding planning blues.

the Perks of Work

for those of you who don't know jason & i both work for the same company. different offices now & no not because we are together.

anyways, sometimes Classic has some pretty sweet, sweet perks. last night was one of those nights. jason & i love the los angeles lakers. jason more than me but still that is something we LOVE to do together. with the wedding this year we have had to cut WAY back on lakers tickets. only one game so far this season...serious sad lip. but, last night Classic delivered an amazing gift. we were able to attend Lakers Basketball 101. with that dandy little invite we were able to shoot shots on the court (j did, i didn't...can you say air ball if i had!), meet & take pictures with jordan farmar, phil jackson, & tex winter (created the triangle offense!), not to mention touring the locker room, dinner & Q&A with derek fisher, luke walton, michael cooper, jeannie buss, brian shaw & kurt rambis (plus the above people). OH i almost forgot...a picture with the lakers girls (more enjoyable for Jason) & the championship trophies. jason was like a kid in a candy store, a little boy on christmas morning after santa came...pretty sweet!

60 Days.

60 days from today...jason & i will be exchanging our marriage vows! we couldn't be more excited to soon share these sweet moments with our family & friends.

we have been busy the last few weeks working out all the details. invitations are done. they will be coming out this week & next (long story)...so keep your eyes out for green in your mail box. tuxedos - done. shoes, yep...got them. flowers have been changed & i am so excited about our florist (another long story) & the new look we have come up with. Sorry no sneak peaks! But, i totally think it is STUNNING! bridesmaids gifts - ordered, arrived & totally fantastic. Kissing balls for the three cutie pies...order & so sweet! wednesday my mom & dad & i will be heading to the dresser for my first fitting! i can't wait to try on my dress again. i know there is more that we have done the last few weeks but my mind is all over the place & i am struggling to stay focused. you know i have a REAL job too?? :)

yesterday was Marc's (jason's brother) 26th birthday! jason & i drove up to atascadero on Sunday to help him celebrate. waffles, a new outfit & cake...yum, yum, yum! i am so glad we were able to go up and see him for his birthday!

mr. & mrs. flood are celebrating 4 years of wedding bliss tomorrow (january 14th)! i will always remember their amazing winter wonderland wedding! just gorgeous!! lindsey & justin congratulations! you guys are such an incredible couple. jason & i feel blessed to have you in our lives & be able to call you friends.
